A budget safari in Nyerere National Park can go as low as $260 per day but this is only possible if you put into consideration the type of accommodation and safari that you choose. - Group size
Small groups or individual safaris cost more than when you are travelling with a larger group. With a large group you can share the costs making it cheaper unlike when you are travelling alone and paying everything on your own.

There are two seasons experienced in Selous and that is the dry and wet season. The dry season is also known as the peak season and the most expensive time for one to go for a safari because of the increased costs on everything. This 3 days budget safari will take you around the largest Game Reserve in Tanzania. You will spend 3 days exploring the National Park and 2 nights camping out in the wild. We shall use budget tented camp facilities that will offer full board all throughout your stay.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park
We shall leave Dar es Salaam very early in the morning and drive to the National Park. We shall get to the Park in the afternoon and after having our lunch, proceed to the River Rufiji where we shall enjoy a boat ride while watching the animals that are usually found along the River bank especially during the dry season. Dinner will be served by the chef at the campsite where you will spend an overnight.
Day 2: game drive in Nyerere
We will have an early morning breakfast at the campsite and our game drive around Nyerere will begin at around 8:00am. The Game reserve has over 1000 wild animals that are best seen during the dry season and some of the animals that we shall see while on our game drive include lions, elephants, leopards, kudus, wild dogs, buffalos, impalas, baboons, hippos and zebras among others. All meals will be provided all throughout the day and dinner will be served in the evening before we retire for the night.
Day 3: Nyerere National Park to Dar es Salaam
This will be our final day of the safari and we shall go for an early morning birding excursion and then go back to the campsite for breakfast. After breakfast we drive back to Dar es Salaam for you flight back home and this will be the end of the safari.
