Fly from Dar es Salaam to a Nyerere airstrip and transfer to your tented camp on the Rufiji River in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive introduces the park's woodlands and its giraffe, buffalo and impala. Settle into camp for sundowners and a riverside dinner.
A morning game drive tracks lions, greater kudu and the park's famed African wild dogs. In the afternoon, drift along the Rufiji on a boat safari among hippos, crocodiles, elephants and abundant waterbirds. Return to camp as the sun sets over the river.
