Corrections Policy

Last reviewed: July 2026

Even with careful research and fact-checking, errors can occur. This Corrections Policy explains how nyererenationalpark.org handles mistakes and how you can report them.

Our commitment

When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently. Keeping our Nyerere National Park guides accurate is more important to us than avoiding the admission of an error.

How to report an error

If you believe an article contains a factual mistake or out-of-date information, please contact our editorial team. To help us act quickly, include:

  • The page title or link where you found the error
  • The specific detail you believe is incorrect
  • A correct source or reference, if you have one

How we handle corrections

Every report is reviewed against authoritative sources in line with our Fact-Checking Policy. Confirmed errors are corrected as soon as reasonably possible.

  • Minor errors, such as typing or formatting mistakes, are simply fixed.
  • Material factual corrections are updated, and where a change is significant we may note that the article has been amended.

Timeframe

We aim to review reported errors quickly and to apply confirmed corrections without unnecessary delay. Some checks, particularly those requiring confirmation from official authorities, may take longer.
